With diet and other exercise, yeah it works. Used to use one to supplement my workouts, was a nice kickstart but didn't do much after a couple weeks.

In other words, not worth it.

Re: Does the flex belt work?

without reading the ad, i assume it gives you a slight shock causing you to flex and contract your ab muscles.

Here is what it will do for you: Flexing your abs is an isometric motion that can make them stronger. If you currently do not have visible ab muscles because they are covered in a layer of fat, it will not help you get a 6-pack.

Instead, focus on your diet and get in some cardio training twice per week for 20 minutes or so. There are dozens of relatively easy ab exercises you can do (such as sit ups) and you only have to do <50 or so to provide a good enoughh stimulus for muscle growth and for them to be visible. Cut the fat and sweets out of your diet and you will lose weight. Men typically carry most of their body fat around their stomach.
