    Did you notice

that if you look at the message boards last year at this time. It will look identical to the boards this year.

Eveyone complaining about he same stuff

    1. vanilla play book
    2. throw blythe the ball
    3. get to the game early.
    4. What music is the team comming out to?
    5. Why don't we get a good kicker

Different coach, same team, Same fans.

I can't wait until next year at this point. THat is when we all proclaim Chizik has one more year to do something.

    Re: Did you notice

I heard someone in the radio equate this year's team this way.

"You can slap a new coat of paint on an old car, but underneath the paint it's still the same car."

New look, same problems. People are impatient. This isn't a one year fix.

    Re: Did you notice

A wise old man who goes by the name of Dad said this on Friday:

"I've been an ISU fan for 45 years. It's the same story year in and year out."

I like to think that Thursday's game was a sentimental but short lived "throwback" to "classic" ISU football of my time as an undergrad during Walden.

Well I still have to give old Waldo credit for beating Oklahoma on the road and Nebraska at home. Nebraska fans still tell me how much they did NOT appreciate that game LOL!

So you're part of the "lost generation" of Cyclone fans that Jamie Pollard talks about.

    Re: Did you notice

At least no one is complaining about the inability to cover the tight end yet. That's progress.

So you're saying just because I painted my car red and gold during tailgating at Kent State, it's still a piece of ****? Aww, all that work for nothing...

And sadly... pretty much everyone I know from home agrees, yes it does look better (even my *cough* hawkeye *cough* brother...)
