    Capital City League Highlights 6-19-11

Here are some video highlights I put together from the Father's Day games at the Cap City Summer League games. I ran out of battery early on in the Royce White, Chris Allen, Tyrus McGee game or else there would be more highlights of all of those guys. Sorry it took me so long to get it all put together, but here it is. Enjoy.

Great vid, thanks for putting it together.

I gotta head to work so I don't have time to comment thoroughly, but one thing did stand out to me with these new players—they all look much stronger than previous recruits.

Great Job Man! Thank you for posting. Tavon Sledge looked like a pro in those vids. He made up his mind and went, fast as lightening, and FINISHED almost every time. Went past people like they were in slow motion. I was extrememly impressed by him. Great video!

Sledge is crazy fast. I can't wait to see him play in Fred's system. We may have gotten a steal.

My favorite is the one where Royce blocks the three and goes in for the dunk.

Thanks for posting those. Great stuff!

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

Lets not get overly excited about a bunch of guys playing glorified pick-up basketball. I agree that these guys have a lot of talent but there isn't much defense being played.

Re: Capital City League Highlights 6-19-11

Watching this vid gave me chills. I can't wait to see what they can do as a team.

Chris Allen = WOW. He has great ball handling skills, plus got some ups.
Royce White is HUGE. How did he get that big? I didn't think he was that big last year. I can tell he was not 100% in the game, can wait to see what he is capable of doing when he is 100% in the game.
Tavon is lightning quick. He knows how to attack the basket and also be able to distribute. Wow. If he can shoot, it will be unbelievable.
Babb knows how to create space and shoot threes. That's just amazing.

I can't wait to see them in person. WOW!

Thanks for posting. Just moved out of state (from WDM) so am not able to attend the CCL games as in the past. Really liked the extensive Sledge highlights. The dunk by Allen at 8:20 is sick.

Am I the only one having trouble watching this? It tells me an error has occurred.

Agreed, but you can take some things away. Obviously you're not going to put too much stock into it, but you can tell that Sledge is very fast from watching these highlights.

You can tell that we have some shooters with outside range such as Babb, Allen, McGee, in addition to Scotty.

You can tell that Royce is pretty smooth handling and can pass the ball as well as probably any big man in college basketball.

Obviously you don't know if that will translate to wins on the court, as we still need to see if we can defend and rebound, but there are still some things to take away from highlights, IMO.

Re: Capital City League Highlights 6-19-11

Melvin needs to get a little love. He's averaging over 30 points and 20 boards a game so far and has shown versitility by scoring both in the paint (had some great dunks the first night) and from the 3 point line. Has also looked good taking it off the dribble. Night one Babb struggled to stay in front of him.

I think as we get excited for all the new guys we better not forget about him. Not sure he's going to let the newcomers waltz in and take his minutes without a fight.
