    "Falling Skies"

Did anybody else watch this on TNT last night?

I really enjoyed it. Compelling storyline and a good blend of drama, action, and character development. Pretty good production values as well.

I'm a fan of most of Spielberg's work, whether as a director or producer, so not surprised at all I enjoyed this too.

Yeah I didnt mind it. Ill be tuning in every week. I really hope they finish it out though and not cancel it when its getting really good. It seems that it might have a deeper plot than a redemption story. I really hope so.

I thought it was kind of a yawner. I'm going to have a long wait for Walking Dead to start back up.

It was pretty obvious the "bad guy" chick would join the good guys but I was a bit surprised that she killed those two dudes. It would've been more realistic if Noah Whylie would've killed the head bad guy. I did like the part where the professor asked why the mechs are bipedal. I was wondering the same thing. I'll give it a shot but it's not gritty enough so far, imo.

I liked it - it helps it is new when everything else is reruns. I like Sci-fi in general so I always like this kind of stuff. I hope it doesn't get cancelled - it really ticked me off when Jericho got cancelled.

It’s was okay. Not sure I am buying Noah Wyle in this role. The last 30 minutes saved it for me. I am going to give it a chance because I am firm believer in “bad science fiction is better than no science fiction at all.”

The opening seemed to be running some parallels to AMCs The Walking Dead although not as dark and hopeless. Guess you can say that about most post-apocalyptic storylines. Sorta makes me want to buy an AR and a bunch of ammo.

The whole bad guy group fighting against them was the piece I found annoying.

Im pretty sure out of all of the hypothetical situations of a post-apocolyptic world, that scenario would happen time and time again.

Really? Because no one thinks of profittering in times of war and strife?

There is a porn director that makes horror porn. I guess he has a zombie one where um bronsons get bit off. Not sure who would watch that crap.

Anyway, you plan on watching Falling Skies some more? I think its one of those shows that may start out slow and then build steam when a deeper plot is at hand. Possibly anyway. It could fall flat on its *** too.
