    Cabo

Anyone have recommendations for a place to stay in Cabo? Looking at going there next winter. All-inclusive if possible.

    Thanks!

I must be cheap because that seems really expensive to me. It does look nice though.

We stayed there back in December. For the money, the place was sick. Good food, lots of booze, good beach, great views of the Arch and rooms were VERY nice. It is a pretty big complex though, so if you are older, or having difficulty walking, you wont like that part of it.

Best vacation I have ever been on!

Cabo Wabo Cantina, baby. It's Sammy Hagar's bar. He plays there every year with "The Waboritas" on his birthday in October. I'm going there for my honeymoon when I get married.

Nah, we're talking probably 5-6 young couples, no kids along. I'm guessing 5 nights and we'd want things to do both in the hotel and out on the town.

    Re: Cabo

This summer will be my 13th trip to Cabo and we usually stay in the Cabo San Lucas area. If you want to go out at night most nights, I recommend the Pueblo Bonito Rose, Cabo Villas or ME. They are all three on the beach where most activities happen and within walking distance of downtown. If you don't care about going out at night and just want to relax on the beach, then San Jose del Cabo is your best choice to stay at.

Just sold my house in Cabo. It's turning into the new Cuncun. It used to be allot more real, now it is very commercialized. Belize is where it is at now

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    Re: Cabo

We always stay at Solmar. It is actually on the other side of the Marina away from the busier beaches. The beach is awesome but not really a swimming beach as the waves get nasty. But it is a low key fishing resort that is quiet and very relaxing as the beaches are private with no public access. The pool was nice and quiet with a great swim up bar. Nice, quiet, and low key, just what we were looking for.

I loved that it was by the marina, my wife and I would go sit at Baja Cantina in the afternoon and watch the boats come in and see what they caught for the day. We also didn't do all inclusive as we wanted to explore the areas restaurants.

It was a great place for just as as it was quiet, secluded, etc. For five couples though you would probably be better off picking one of the bigger resorts near the public beaches as they have better swimming in the ocean etc.

No matter where you end up do yourself a favor and walk around the marina, it is my favorite place there, cool little bars, etc.

BTW, Cabo Wabo is an overhyped tourist trap IMO.

We are going back in the next couple of years. It is hands down the best place in Mexico.

    Re: Cabo

Oh and I highly recommend a restaurant named Salvatores (spelling?). It is a bit expensive at around $30 a plate, but the meals they bring out are usually too much for even two people to have.

    Re: Cabo

I've never taken one of these types of vacations so keep that in mind when I ask this question....If I just want to go on vacation to relax by the pool/beach and chill, is there really that much difference between all these different towns? I would think it would have more to do with the actual accommodations?

No you didnt. No it's not. Actually Cabo is doing everything in its power to NOT be like Cancun. They are on a hold building hotels, the hotels can only be so tall, etc.
