Great read with stats to back up thier logic. This really shows what Hoiberg has done for Garrett, along with the work Garrett has put forth at his work-outs.

Not to bash on DG, but that weaknesses section of the video brought back a lot of bad memories.

Was the pirate really necessary? My god, some of you people wouldn't know sarcasm if it came up and slapped you in the face.

    Re: More DG love

I was pretty critical of DG if he can get drafted he will have me eating crow. I like him though he stuck around the program when nobody else did and worked hard to help turn around our program. All it took was his senior year and new coach, who would have thought

I laid the sarcasm thick on that post.... way to catch on... I've been one of the bigger defenders of DG while his time at Iowa State.

    It's called sarcasm, learn it.

    Re: More DG love

DG was a nice player for us, especially this year. I feel like a lot of his weaknesses such as not being as clutch as you'd like, would have been reduced had he played with more talent, under Hoiberg. Had, he played PG with Allen, Scotty, White, Babb, Booker, Ejim and McGee this year, he could have been VERY good.

With that said, a lot of his statistical gains from this year can probably be attributed to that issue as well.

I will be rooting for him and I know that Fred can gain a lot of recruiting firepower if he can tout DG's success and turn around.

My apologies. Usually my sarcasm detection meter works pretty well, but I had a long and drunken night, so I'm not quite up to par today.

There has been a vocal minority of DG haters on this board for whatever reason who don't think he should be drafted, as well as some people who are just plain stupid as well. Sorry for mistaking you for one of them.

    Re: More DG love

Great article. I'm thinking he goes 40 to the Bucks...

"Freddie knows the game," Bird said. "I'm sure he picked up a lot of stuff over the years from different people. College is different from the NBA, but I'm sure he'll do a great job."

I agree with this. The Bucks love him from his workouts, plus his history with his dad helps. However, I would love to see him backing up D-Rose on the Bulls with one of their picks, but that's just a dream at this point. Thibodeau, if you somehow read this, please draft him, it's worth the risk!
