    ISU at Kansas State

Alright, with the preview of the game at baylor i thought we would go ahead and take a look at the other games too.

KSU's defense looks as though it could be pretty bad this year expecially with not being able to stop the run again. Their biggest concern is the defensive line.

The offense will start a new quarterback this year in collin klein which sound like he is a decent scrambler but not much proven after that. Also the big buzz there is a former number 1 recruit that transfered from tennessee ( RB Bryce Brown) who could help them but is unknown what he will do as of right now.

I think this is a game that we should win and win pretty good but you never know with the last couple of years against the wildcats. What do you guys know about KSU going into the year and what are your thoughts? Thanks

Snyder will pull something out of his hat and they will be competitive.

Arthur Brown, older brother of Bryce Brown and former 5 star LB transferred to KSU and is eligible this year as well. Again, he did not do that much at Miami but has the talent.

It's a game we should be able to win, but you never know. We've had 2 close games with them, and I think we're do for a W. They should be a 1 trick pony on offense, but we couldn't stop that last year.

I never like playing in Manhattan, and really have only 1 fond memory of us playing there (2005). It will be. A tough game no matter how bad KSU looks right now. KSU will show up and want to beat us that much I do know.

But knowing that, I still think we are do for a win and beat them by 7-10

    Re: ISU at Kansas State

I think for the future of the program and a shot at a bowl game this season this is a must win game. We simply cannot keep getting beaten by KSU.

That said, I don't see any real match-up problems for us w/ KSU.

    Thankfully that pony got drafted.

I am hoping that Bryce Brown isn't nearly the manchild that Daniel Thomas was and with expected improvement on D I think we should be able to beat KSU.

Exactly my thoughts. I've gone into that game the past 2 seasons thinking W and look how those games turned out. I consider K-State a monkey on our back. They are a team I feel we should beat yet can't seem to cross that threshold.

I'd say blowing the game against K-State last year was more of a reason why we didn't make a bowl last year than the "batted-down" 2 pt conversion against Nebraska. I just think the Nebraska game is fresher in our minds and, considering it came down to one play, has more of the "what if" factor to it.

Similar to the Baylor game, we should win by 10+

    Re: ISU at Kansas State

We are due for a win, but that doesn't make it happen alone. moreso than any other game where a comeback could be possible - I really get the feeling we need to jump on these guys early this year. It's very possible we'll be sitting at 5-6 and playing for a bowl game bid. If we go into the 4th quarter up 10+ this game is ours. If it becomes a back and forth game then anything can happen.

This will be another close game with KState being favored, but that is assuming our passing game isn't that good. If whoever is the QB can have a breakout year then we should win this game.

    Re: ISU at Kansas State

If there is one throw AA could have over, I'm guessing the overthrow of the wide open AR in last years KSU game would rank right near the top.

The breaks have definitely favored KSU the last two years. Maybe things will even out this year.
