    Super 8

Anyone else seen this? I just saw it tonight, and I really enjoyed it. It is not going to win awards, but the kid actors did a pretty good job, and the monster reveal was kind of cool, if typical for Spielberg.

Its got a few suspenseful shots, but it is not too bad. It is definitely not horror. It is a pretty good personal drama wrapped in a Spielberg and Abrams plot. I don't want to give too much away, as it will ruin some of the film.

while not like the goonies, the kids on the movie kind of reminded me of the goonies movie.

The hotels are probably scarier than this film.

    Re: Super 8

I just got back from seeing it. Great movie all-around; writing, action, story, effects. It all worked perfectly.

    It is definitely not horror.

No, but there certainly were some moments that made the audience jump.

Super 8 is to E.T. as Slingblade is to Forrest Gump.
