    Browser Help?

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I'm having problems with my browsers.

When CF started having problems with viruses months ago, I started using Firefox, because the problems I had seemed restricted to IE. So, I primarily used Firefox, with Google Chrome as an occasional backup. It was great, because either were faster than IE anyway.

Well, a few days ago, Firefox started freezing up on me. When I couldn't find anything wrong, I switched to Chrome as my primary browser. Now Chrome is having problems--first, Shockwave Flash started crashing all the time, and now Chrome is starting to freeze on me as well.

I have run quick scans with both Malwarebytes and Avast, and am running a full scan with Malwarebytes right now, thus far to no avail.

I'm running Windows 7 on a year and a half old Toshiba that I've never had any problems with. Any suggestions, while I wait for the scans to tell me nothing?

I've been having a few issues with Firefox recently (locks up or crashes), but I figure it may have an update coming.

    Re: Browser Help?

Start with removing any add-ons/extensions you have installed in the browser.

It appears to be a common problem that Adobe are supposedly aware of.

Check your messages. I had the same problem but found a solution.

Thanks, guys. I finally got a chance to work through some of these...

This one was the easy one, since I didn't have any add-ons or extensions (aside from the Snoopy theme).

Unfortunately, the two registry cleaners seem to have not made any difference.

I'm hoping this has something to do with it--but Chrome seems to be getting worse.

Thanks again for your help and advice!
