Have you ever parked in "disability parking" if you're not disabled?

I thought this would be good for discussion...
As I am seeing a lot of it lately! Junior and his girlfriend grab Grandma's Handicap parking placard, then whip into a handicap parking spot and gingerly race each other into the store, (or wherever)

And often I see just ridiculously old(er) folks who park in a handicap stall, just because they are old! (or older) or at least they think they are.

Don't get me wrong... Many people with disabilities aren't necessarily physically handicapped. They issue those D.O.T. placards for everything these days. i.e. (heart conditions) (asthmatics in certain weather conditions) (seasonal handicaps) (the red temporary hangers)
The thing that bothers me are the people who park in a handicap spot, and when you follow them into a store, they walk at least a mile or 12 comfortably before returning to their cars!

Not looking for any arguments... I'm just curious, who's guilty of parking in one, just to have a better parking spot?

I've parked in one before, but I was with my 80 year old grandmother who actually had (and required) one of those stickers.

On the flip side, at work, there are several handicap parking spots that are always open - nobody parks there. Yet there are two people in my group alone who actually have handicap stickers due to knee surgeries. Watching these people walk makes my own knees hurt. Too much pride to park in the handicap spots, it would appear.

Never have. Matter of fact, I usually park at the far end of the lot, figuring that I can use the exercise (understatement)--and someone else can use a closer spot.

How about the fine people who park in the fire lane right next to the grocery store entrance? Right under the no parking sign. They should be summarily shot.

I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all.

Sometimes I park in handicapped spaces, while handicapped people make handicapped faces.

I second that. This really grinds my gears.

Agreed. I also despise the owners of perceived 'luxury type' vehicles who feel the need to park almost horizontally in order for no one else to park on either side for fear of getting their door hit.

I despise people who key scratch doors and lazy people who bang your car door with a vengeance when they get out.

I hate the people that use handicap parking spots just because they are obese. Hey, you could use the walk fat ***.

I despite the door hitting people that park an inch away from my 'luxury type' vehicle even though I purposely parked a mile away in an area with a million empty spots.

I recently saw a Hummer parked in a handicapped spot with no tags. I really wanted to wait and see who came out and got into it but I didn't have the time.

    This.

I have parked my truck out in its lonesome before, only to come out and their will be a vehicle right next to mine and a door ding. Are you ******* kidding me? Spots all over and you park next to mine and ******* door ding me! This has happened TWICE. The second time it happened I kicked there side mirror off. That is bull crap when there is a thousand open spots and you pick the one next to someone who is all by itself and you door ding them in the process.

I think you're inviting people to do that when you park out in the open like that. I bet you'd get less door dings if you parked in a "normal" spot.
