As Scott Maine walked in two runs during Omaha’s three-run ninth inning for an 8-6 Storm Chasers victory, Iowa Cubs general manager Sam Bernabe was on the phone with the parent Chicago Cubs, learning that three big-leaguers will likely rehab in Des Moines.

Reed Johnson (back) and Jeff Baker (strained groin) are expected for the 7 p.m. series opener Thursday, Bernabe said.

“And Sunday we’re anticipating (Alfonso) Soriano,” Bernabe said.
Soriano has been nursing a strained quad.
