    2007 High School Class

Great article at Draft Express, shows where everyone in the top 150 of the 2007 high school class ended up. Then shows players who weren't in the top 150 who are making noise.

DraftExpress: 2007 RSCI: The One and Doners

Mentions five different Iowa State players somewhere in the article.

    Re: 2007 High School Class

Great quote from Dave Telep, talking about players ranked 75-100:

“This is when I get ready to bug out, talking about this topic. That number doesn't shock me at all. I can tell you from the research we've done, players ranked from 75 to 100 transfer schools 51% of time. It's a sobering statistic. When you're ranked like that, you have no ability to handle not being the man all of the time. And you have your entourage behind you pumping you up non-stop. When the [stuff] hits the fan, our culture is to transfer. If not good enough, go to the next place. It's a cultural thing.“

    not funny, but kind off

128 Alvin Mitchell Cincinnati [two years] --> Dismissed --> Transferred to Mountain State --> Shot eight times 5th Year Senior Next Season

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    Re: 2007 High School Class

Iowa State comes off looking quite good in this article. Villanova, for example, looked pretty bad considering the recruits they brought in and how they have turned out.

Also it's funny to think that recruiting experts were having a hard time separating the top 6 from this class: Rose, Gordon, Love, Mayo, Beasley, and ... Kyle Singler.

There is a little blurb about Wesley Johnson. Not in the same class, but it talks about unranked lottery picks.

If I remember correctly, Alvin Mitchell started out in Indian Hills Community College. He won national championship with Pete Mickeal.

    Re: 2007 High School Class

Amazingly enough, of the players in the 60-100 range of the RSCI in 2007, only 14 had “normal” college careers, meaning only 14 players played four seasons without transferring, redshirting or being outright dismissed.

    wow
