    Baseball Question

What pitch does Mariano Rivera throw? What does it do? Why is it so difficult to hit?
    Thanks

Cut fastball that ranges in the 90s. Anything above 90 that moves in on righty is nearly impossible to hit.

Cutter, hard to get the big part of the bat on. It causes a lot of broken bats as well.

Has also started throwing a two-seam fastball the last few years that breaks the opposite way. Unbelievable how someone can have such dominence when you throw one pitch 90% of the time and you know exactly where it is going to be.
