Scotty's picture---and an entire article by Fran Fraschilla on how we can move up in the standings this year.

Are people allowed to post summaries of the insider stuff? If so it would be appreciated.

Sadly, no. There isn't anything in the story that we don't already know.

He didn't say much we don't already know. A some good talent with the transfers, and could be good next year if the chemistry works out. Nice article, but no real new info.

By the way - ESPN insider is a great investment. It is VERY cheap I think and you get ESPN magazine with it.

Other way around, buy ESPN the mag on the cheap and get insider access from it. If you buy insider to get the mag, its like 30 bucks. You can get the mag occasionally online for under 5 bucks a year. Just an FYI

You're probably right. It was a long time ago that I signed up so I didn't really remember. Either way I was amazed how cheap it was too. A nice plus as well is that insider allows you to stream ESPN radio.

    Re: Scotty Pic on ESPN

I've been an insider and getting the magazine for several years now and remember it as being really cheap. I have yet to see a charge for subsequent years on my credit card. (disclaimer: I don't go through it with a fine tooth comb every month) I will usually notice charges over $30, so I think it is pretty cheap and I just keep missing it.

I originally signed up for Insider about five years ago with a credit card that I later cancelled. I cancelled the card about three years ago, but I still get the magazine and Insider access, I'm not sure how that works, but it's fine with me.

Same thing happened to me with the Des Moines Register. My parents gifted us the Sunday Register when we bought our house 5 years ago. The year long subscription expired, we didn't pick it up...and have gotten it for the last 4 years. My theory is that they are so desperate for subscribers (especially ages <40) that we are worth more to them than they are to us.

Perhaps something similar for ESPN--trying to keep their numbers up?

ESPN, especially insider, isn't worth $.02, but that's just my $.02.

Wow! Not a lot of information for not a lot of money. Sounds like a great deal.

What's being an insider worth if you can't get sweetheart deals on cars and tattoos in exchange for sports memorabilia?

Apparently I jinxed myself with this post yesterday, or somebody from this site snitched on me, because I went to insider this morning and was told I needed to resubscribe to get access. Now I'm out $2.00 a month for the next two years.

For those saying that Insider isn't worth anything, if you're a baseball fan I would strongly disagree. I think Buster Olney's blog alone, is worth it, tons of good links every day. I agree the magazine is pretty worthless but there is some very good stuff on the website.
