Landry Jones. The guy is a future first round pick and the best passer in the big 12 by far.

Re: Landry Jones or Robert Griffin?

Really, if you put Griffin in OU's offense... is OU better? Landry Jones in Baylor's offense?

In a nutshell, each one makes their team better in very different ways. However, I'll take a pro-style QB that demonstrates a command of the offense over one with happy feet that feels like he has to be the offense.

    Landry Jones it is.

Re: Landry Jones or Robert Griffin?

    LANDRY JONES.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Re: Landry Jones or Robert Griffin?

I'm going to have to go with Landry Jones. He is definately an outstanding passer and moves the offense up and down the field as well as any other Big 12 quarterback, and does't throw too many interceptions. Anyone saying he is not that good is completely nuts.

As a runner, he isn't durable enough to be a zone read guy either.
Griffin was not 100% healthy last season. Assuming full health, he will be much better.

Regarding your comments on his passing, you must have missed the long TD pass he made against ISU at Waco when he was a frosh. It might have been the best play/pass I've seen an opposing QB make on ISU. He has made plays like that against other teams, too.

Both Weeden and Jones will be playing for new OCs, Weeden's advanced age may help him deal with the change moreso than Jones.

I wouldn't pick anyone from Baylor. Ever.

Give me Jones in this pick.

Landry Jones once a day and twice on Sundays.

I think I could've torched the Iowa State defense in 2008 through the air.

Nice try but on that play, ISU rushed the passer and covered the receiver very well. Tried to find video of the play but here is an excerpt from the game story:

"And Griffin can make a play while taking a hard lick. On fourth-and-12 from the Iowa State 34 in the first quarter, with linebacker Jesse Smith charging toward him, Griffin released the pass just before being slammed hard to the ground. But Griffin's high-arching pass dropped into Wright's arms in the back of the end zone.
The officials used replay to confirm Baylor's first score, when Wright secured the ball while falling and landed with his knee just inbound."

Griffin perfectly threw the ball over 50 yards with Smith in his face to a well covered receiver.
