    iphone question / issue

I got an Iphone 2 months ago, over the weekend the battery life went from 2 days (light use).......to a few hours of no use and it is dead. I went golfing yesterday morning (fully charged), by the time i got home it was dead. I charged it again last night and now 3 hours later it is half dead (1 - 2 minute call made), other than that it has been sitting on my desk.

I have not turned on any internet or other specs, all the apps are turned off. Does it sound like i got a bad battery?

    Re: iphone question / issue

Isn't iPhone supposed to have a good battery life even with use? I'd certainly get that battery checked out.

Looks like your battery is dead. That happened to me as well. I took it in to the Apple Store and they replaced me with a new phone.
Here is the catch. Warranty does NOT cover battery replacement typically, so you may want to go with different strategy for a replacement phone. My phone was kept shutting off itself and battery was going down like crazy, so I told them it could be a hardware issue since its keep turning off even with full charged battery.

    Hope this helps!

iPhone does have good battery life, but as with cars, freezers, washers, computers, or pretty much anything created, sometimes there is a flaw. Something didn't fuse right, a wire was cut too short, the gas pedal sticks. These things happen, even to the best.

    Re: iphone question / issue

Before taking it to the store, I'd make sure you kill all your running apps; there may be one running that is draining your battery.

Many iPhone users don't know that the phone has multi-tasking capabilites (kind of) and when you open any app, it continues to run even after you think you've closed it.

To see how many apps the phone is currently running, click the main "square" button twice. A row of all the apps running will appear on the bottom of the screen. To close them touch and hold one of those apps until they all start to "wiggle" and have a little red minus (-) sign on the corner. Tap all the minus signs to actually close the app.

See if that helps. If not, I would agree with others that your battery is likely near its end.

    Re: iphone question / issue

I called the Apple support line, he said that I am running old software and i need to update it. They said if that doesn't work, they would send me a new phone.
