Mounting a TV over the fireplace

Anyone done this ever? How did you fish the wiring? Or are there any local companies I can just hire to do this?

I hate hate hate the idea, but my wife will not give it up and at this point I just don't care anymore. She is the one that is usually in this room, so I am going to pick my battles. Of course there is no electrical anywhere near it, nor is there conduit to run the cables. So hiring it out may just be the best idea.

My 40" Tube TV just died in this round of storms, so I will be buying a new TV, and will plan sizing based on the mounting plan.

Do you use the fireplace and if you do how hot does it get at the mounting location?

Try Satellite City in Ankeny....First Street next to Palmer's Deli. I'm sure they do custom installs, never used them though.
