You made me relive my tremendous grief from the original event. Thanks, Doc.

Re: Bald Easgle With Web Following Struck, Killed By Plane

Bald Eagles are beautiful almost majestic creatures. My parents to this day still cannot believe how many of them are flying around Iowa and Northern Minnesota/Wisconsin. When I see an Eagle I don't think much of it because they've always been present during my lifetime but my parents still get amazed when they see one because they never did while growing up.

It's a cross between a bald eagle and a nasgul. And you thought I mispelled it...

EDIT: Make that nazgul. I can't even spell my middle earth creatures correctly.

Re: Bald Easgle With Web Following Struck, Killed By Plane

When I was 12 in 1980, I was on the bank of the Mississippi River and along with a bunch of other onlookers, We watched 3 eagles doing dives into the water. An older man looked down on me and said something like, "kid, take a good look at those eagles, that may be the last time you ever see them in the wild ever again in your lifetime". I'm glad he was wrong and they made a glorious comeback.
