My favorite one liner came after Puckett's walk off homer in game 6 of the 1991 World Series.

And we'll see you tomorrow night.

Still pisses me of when Joe tried to be like his dad with his "We'll see you later tonight," of game 4 of the 2004 ALCS went past midnight.

Re: Top 50 One-liners in Sports

Some classics on that list. No one can argue with #1. Also a fair share of turds on that list though. The "everybody can change" quote from Rocky 4? Eh.

    Here's a few I'd add...

"Because they wouldn't let me go for three."
    - Woody Hayes, answering a reporter's question on why he went for a two point conversion in 1968 after scoring a TD and taking the lead over Michigan 48-14.

    "You CANNOT be serious!"
    - John McEnroe, Wimbledon 1981

"Well, Rickey's not one of them, so that's 49 percent right there."
    - Rickey Henderson, after a reporter asked him if Ken Caminitiís estimate that 50 percent of Major League players were taking steroids was accurate.

"My physical condition is in excellent condition."
    - Rickey Henderson

"I'm just going to fade into Bolivian."
    - Mike Tyson

    "He wants Texas back."
    - Tommy Lasorda, after being asked what terms Fernando Valenzuela would settle for in his upcoming contract negotiations.

Re: Top 50 One-liners in Sports

I enjoyed Tim McCarver during the 05 WS, mere seconds before Podsednik's walkoff, talking about how Brad Lidge was coming back from Pujols taking him into the stratosphere his last appearance.

"I don't think that taste is there."
