    The office season finale

A little disappointed in the interview process.......James Spader has aged a lot since Boston Legal ended, but I like him a lot. Ricky Gervais would be my first choice, but his "interview" did not go well.

Any thoughts on who the new manager of Dunder Mifflen will be?

Also read that Rain Wilson wants to leave the show too, that would be about the end of the show.

I think Ricky Gervais would make a seamless transition.

Hadn't heard about Wilson wanting to leave, but the show may only have a year or two left to run its course anyway.

    Re: The office season finale

I thought they announced while back that Will Arnett will be the new office manager.

I am so happy Gabe is leaving the office, I truely hated that weirdo.

I think Jim should have taken the job!!

Nope, no such announcement regarding Will Arnett.

I think it will be someone within the office. Most of the outside canidates probably wouldn't want to work on a TV show for the next few years.

They guy who plays Jim will take over the manager posistion. It was offered to him before Dwight took the job. Jim was getting fed up with the other people that were interviewing.

With reality shows putting the squeeze on countless 'professional' actors the last 10 years, you see a lot of big-screen stars entering TV shows.

Regular drama and comedy TV shows have been much more attractive and acceptable for big screen actors to transition to.

I would like Spader to act like his 80's persona, not like last night's creepy Christopher Walken character--which would get real old fast.

TV shows pay some stars over $1 million/episode. Not bad

It doesn't matter who they hire. It's not going to be the same without Michael Scott.

    Re: The office season finale

Jim Carrey would be awesome but I don't remember seeing much of him in the episode except for the end.

In reality, I think they should have just quit instead of beating a dead horse with a limp cast for a few seasons.

I disagree. The Office is the only show I watch religiously and actual schedule around. Even without Michael Scott I still believe it will be funny and worth watching.
