    Lazerfest 2011

Anyone end up going out there this year? If so, outside of the headliners, who was the biggest surprise band that you saw this year? Or, alternatively, what was the biggest surprise of the show for you (Queensryche not being there does not count)?

For me, Escape the Fate was the biggest surprise, and I thought they outperformed everyone on stage up until Three Days Grace. I'm talking being a good band, as well as entertaining and playing along with the fans.

Wish I could have been there. A7X always puts on a good show.

    Re: Lazerfest 2011

I went and heres my opinion:

Rev Theory - I love these guys I wish they weren't having microphone problems cause they are usually great in concert.

My Darkest Days - They did decent, I am sick of Porn Star Dancing though.

Bullet for my Valentine - Didn't watch them that was supper time for me.

Saliva - They always can be counted on to put on a good show and they didn't disappoint.

Theory of a Deadman - My opinion is they are better live than on the radio.

Seether - To be honest I wasn't really looking forward to them but they one me over and definately will see them live again.

Black Label Society - I loved the no nonsense, they came out played hard and didn't waste time talking to the crowd and I liked that alot.

Queensryche - I was disappointed because I really wanted to see them.

Three Days Grace - As always they do a good job of getting the crowd pumped and into it. My highlight was when the leadsinger climbed up the tower!!!

Stone Sour - I mainly went to see these guys and Corey and the gang did a good job but I was disappointed because they didn't play ZZZZyx Road which is my favorite song. I was also disappointed with the crowd during Stone Sour as they didn't seem to into it which I fnd weird since Corey is from Des Moines.

Avenged Sevenfold - I am a fan of their music but never seen them live and I thought they had the best show of everyone (like they should since theywere the headliner).

Overall I thought it was well worth the money and look forward to next year.

Lazer if you are reading we want Alice in Chains for the 2012 headliner!!!!

I would seriously think about going if they were to play. I would love to see them live.

Outside the drummer who replace Joel, they're all from Des Moines... The drummer could be too, but I don't follow as closely as I once did.

Speaking of Joel Ekman, check out his new band! Isaac James Band. The just released a new CD which is pretty good in my opinion.
