    2011 Brea star de-commits

Wonder if Justine and Kelsey are friends.

I'm sure she will have lots of offers though.

Originally committed to Boston College, then de-committed. She then committed to Nikki Caldwell at UCLA, and now de-committing from UCLA.

Nice research - I've found stories about the commits, but, I haven't seen a report of the "de-committ." Do you have a link?

Weve got a pretty good football conference, and weve got a pretty good conference overall. Were still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that. Paul Rhoads

Justine Hartman 2011 Basketball Recruiting News - ESPN

Justine Hartman is on the recruiting trail once again Justine Hartman, the No. 7 prospect in the 2011 class according to ESPN HoopGurlz, has been released from her National Letter of Intent with UCLA, according to her Cal Storm club team coach, George Quintero. She still is considering the Bruins but also is strongly considering Notre Dame.

Hartman, a 6-foot-2 post from Brea, Calif., initially committed to Boston College with a verbal pledge in January of 2010. She de-committed that June before committing to UCLA on July 7. With the departure of head coach Nikki Caldwell, who took over at LSU, Hartman decided to position herself to reconsider her commitment.

Thanks. Markisha Wright will be in the same class and of similar body type. If Hartman goes to ND, one of them may not be needed. ISU has interior players, but, none in the "power post" category, unless one of our 2011 class plays that way. I suspect A&M might look attractive for a player in the Adams mold.

One of our Texas recruits is supposedly in the power mode, but she is a pretty raw talent coming in. I imagine ND is interested in someone in Adams mode after this past April.

Are you talking about Mayes? She is a leaner athlete than Hartman. She is raw, but should have a pretty high ceiling. Our best power player is Poppens, and I don't expect that to change for the next two years.

Don't know the exact words, but Pop said in an interview that Mays is big, strong and tough. She seemed pretty wowed by her.

We don't play a "power post" offense, so maybe that's why it's hard to recruit true posts here.

Seriously? She looks like a taller Danielle Adams to me.... Not sure what her game is, but she has the width, and hopefully strength.

Here she is in the attachments. Front and center, and in the red. Not exactly Danielle Adams sized. I don't know what you are looking at.

She may not have the weight of Danielle, but look at the size of those biceps. Pretty impressive for a 17 old girl. Hell, those are bigger than half of the men we've recruited over the last few years.
