Re: ESPN Big 12 Poll (Jantz)

Steele Jantz, aside from possessing the league's most intimidating name, is entrenched in a four-man race to be Iowa State's new quarterback. Is he the man to replace Austen Arnaud?

    That's not a good sign.

My sentiments exactly. It's hard to say a guy will have the most impact when he "may" not even see much action. I believe it will be Malcolm Brown for two reasons:(1) Texas will look to run the ball more to take pressure off of the QB, (2) he was one of the most explosive players in the country last season. He "will" get plenty of touches.

Re: ESPN Big 12 Poll (Jantz)

I agree with the above... How can he be stated to have the most impact when he isn't even the guaranteed starter!?!? He could end up only playing a few plays per game, if that...

It's not a 4 man race. I'm not sure why anyone thinks it is. 2, maybe 3 man race.

True, but maybe they are saying we have four exceptional QB?

Honestly though, most the comments were about the usage of the word "entrenched". That was the word that Chick used about his position here at ISU before he bolted for Auburn just a few months later.

Re: ESPN Big 12 Poll (Jantz)

It's a two man race...Anyone who thinks it could be any four of the guys this year is just lying to themselves. FWIW - Steele Jantz, Iowa State is leading the poll @ 31%, followed by Malcolm Brown, Texas 26%.
