I was flipping through the channels and found a game on ESPN Classic between Pitt and Texas A&M. The game was played 9/27/03.

We all know Rhoads was Pitt's defensive coordinator. He was shown a number of times on the sidelines getting his defense fired up like he does. His players were high-fiving him and clearly loved the guy. His defense did pretty well against an explosive A&M offense. They won the game at A&M.

The announcers spent some time with him... they had a number of comments he'd made leading up to the game and shared them during the telecast. He got a lot of coverage... especially for a defensive coordinator.

It was weird seeing him in Pitt stuff, but you can clearly tell the guy was made out to be a head coach. The dude had "it" back then too. It was one game seven years ago, but still made me appreciate the guy even more.

By the way, Larry Fitzgerald caught three TD's in that game from a guy named Rod Rutherford. A&M could not stop him.
