Re: March Madness Won't Be The Same Without Gus Johnson

Why does CBS try so hard to screw up the NCAA Tournament? Why do they think an above-average golf commentator (Jim Nantz) should be doing play-by-play for the biggest men's basketball games of the year?

Agree...sounds as though Nance might have been behind this move? Jealousy? I remember reading articles about Nance's testimony during his divorce proceedings that made him sound like one of the biggest egomaniacs ever. Anyway, I would prefer Gus Johnson over Jim Nance any day of the week!

Re: March Madness Won't Be The Same Without Gus Johnson

There are a lot of people that don't enjoy being yelled at by Gus Johnson when someone hits a jumper to make it a 21-13 game with 11minutes to go in the first half...just my opinion, but I think the guy tries WAY too hard to be the show, instead of calling the game. The guy can't even read an intro for a show on CBS without going, "coming soon to CBS, Franklin and BAAASH!!!".
