Cubs win in the 9th vs. Cincianati

Nice win today. Nice to see the bats come alive. Pena is finally starting to hit.

Agree good win. Agree Pena is heating up. But what do you mean about it being nice to see bats come alive. The Cubs are in the top 5 in team Avg. However, with Runners in Scoring Position we are 27th.

I think it is time for Quade to move the League leader in HR's to the 4 spot. With the way Pena is hitting, Castro, Soriano and Pena 3-5 is at least worth a shot.

3 hits in the 9th when we needed them isn't?

Not sure how the bats 'come alive' when you score 3 runs...but alright. Good win indeed, for the Cubs AND the Cardinals. Thanks for keeping Cincinnati off our tails :)

Were hanging around right now. And that's all we need until Cashner and Wells come back. Just stay within striking distance.

lol already scared of cinncy bein on your ***** and we're just 30 some games into the year? come on now. no need for the backhanded compliments, worry about your own team's bats "coming alive" today... considering Gallardo's go that no-no intact through 6.

What I meant was that for the most part bats have been alive this year, except when we get runners in scoring position then they go to sleep.

We had 11 hits today and only had 3 runs to show for it. That has been the case far to often this year. However, if we increase the avg with runners in scoring position we will win a lot more games.

I wish I could have watched it. Hopefully this gets us on a run.
