    Westboro Baptist Church Documentary

Louis Theroux: Most Hated Family in America | Documentary Heaven | Watch Free Documentaries Online

Just amazing how these people think. The kids in the church have no friends outside the church and all they see their entire lives is the brainwashing activities of their family.

Absolutely incredible how the human mind can be manipulated like that.

There is a guy that now lives with the church who actually went there as a journalist to write a story on them and now he is part of the cult. Crazy.

    Re: Westboro Baptist Church Documentary

Those kids don't deserve the life they are being forced to live...if you watch any of that video, watch the last minute of the little kid talking about right and wrong and the rules to live by.

At one point in the documentary the journalist is asking the kids what their signs mean and stuff and they have no idea, and the mom keeps trying to feed them answers but they keep proving that they have no idea what they are doing.

One funny part was when he was defining a cult for the lady and he basically just described their "church". She just deflected the question and started rambling about some out of context bible verse.

If I run into those people, would anyone be willing to bail me out of jail?

It's incredibly interesting, but they're obviously just completely diluted, I'd almost go so far as to say some time of mental illness. It's sad that they're a cult that apparently doesn't believe in mass suicide.

Can someone confirm for me if I'm a terrible person if I was completely indifferent when the kid got hit with the slushie?

Wow, have not heard about the documentary until now, and just got done watching it and wow, all I can say is sad.... very sad.

Would also recommend Jesus Camp. Not near as good as the one you just recommended, but still pretty interesting. It is on Netflix instant streaming for those who have it.

Cannot confirm. But I found myself wishing the kid was that lady and the slushie was a bowling ball.

I felt the worst for the older daughters. I kept thinking they were on the verge of, not sure if breaking through is the right term, but acknowledging that the life they lead isn't what they want.
