What is wrong with people these days?

Two men and two women are accused of pinning down a man who has learning disabilities, tattooing the word "RAPEST" on his forehead and shocking his genitals with a stun gun before beating him unconscious with a baseball bat, police said Wednesday.

While I find what they did absolutely disgusting, why is it that the #1 thing that makes me want to facepalm is the fact they don't know how to spell RAPIST?

Good thing those wanna be vigilantes are so smart... 'Rapest'... is that like the final progression of rape? Rape, raper, rapest?

Even if he was trying to make a pass at one of the women, that doesn't mean the response should be attempted murder. And it doesn't seem like there's any evidence he actually tried to rape anybody.

"He said he would like to have the tattoos removed but cannot afford it. In the meantime, he had the one on his forehead turned into a barcode, with the numerals "7" that he hopes will bring him luck and a reference to 2010, which he said was a good year for him."

Can someone explain to me why he (the victim) should have to pay for this? That's messed up.

I thought the same thing, then I saw that it happened in Oklahoma. No further explanation needed.

He would most likely need to sue his attackers. I would love to be on that jury. I would set the sum so high that those people (and I use the term loosely) would spend the rest of their lives, once they got out of prison, paying him off.

The article states the police plan to recommend charges of assault and battery, maiming by disfigurement and kidnapping. I'm trying to figure out how beating a guy with a baseball bat doesn't consitute attempted murder.

They could have at least knocked him unconscious before they shocked his genitals with a stun gun. That's just common courtesy.

Re: What is wrong with people these days?

I can't get over how disturbing this crime is. IMO this warrants life in prison at the very minimum and maybe even put them down permanently. We need to eliminate these people from reproducing and tainting the gene pool in the future.

Let God judge them how He deems fit.
