In the end of the day, it will always goes back to the students and prospective students themselves: what value (or added value) they can get from going to these schools ? How reasonable the costs and expenses will be ?

I'm sure you meant to say "At the end of the day, ..." (Nice Phoenix University MBA)

For-profit schools are worse than big banks, worse than jebus, worse than hawkeyes.

Re: Attorney Generals in 10 states Launch Investigation into For profit schools

I see so many people go to for profit schools to get associates/technical degree in business related field because they were told by the recruiters that those courses will transfer to 4 year institution(s) if they decides to pursue bachelors. However, most of their claim is totally false. Majority of courses will not transfer because in many cases, they don't have the same accreditation.

Its frustrating when I have to tell non-traditional perspective students about them having to go back and take courses all over again.

Your post is proof that HR degrees are not worthless, afterall. (You have learned to type.)

    I see or I've seen?

    Its or it's?

    Perspective or Prospective?

Perspective means "point of view, especially the ability to see the whole of something." In art, it specifically means the ability to present three dimensional objects using a two dimensional medium. Perspective is normally a noun.
    The prefix per- means "completely."

Prospective means "future or potential" and is normally an adjective. The noun form is prospect.
    The prefix pro- means "forward."
The Latin root of both words, -spect-, means "to see." So perspective literally means "seeing completely" and prospective means "seeing ahead

    +1.
Let alone transferring to 4-year institution(s): some states don't even recognize certain degrees from certain profit universities.

I know this topic has been talked about many times, and I certainly am happy for anyone who pursues education no matter what. But at the same time, whenever I see U of Phoenix on a resume, I just ignore it and put no weight on it as any sort of qualification.

So are they including the Ohio State's and Texas's as "for-profit" schools?

This is a message board. There is A LOT of gross lack of diligence on the part of those that post. It is safe to assume that the majority of us are capable of comprehending based on the intent of what is said. If someone doesn't understand it that person can ask the poster to clarify. There are enough smart ***** to go around on message boards. The last thing we need are grammatical smart *****.
