I had good luck with Midas down there when I was down there. I don't know how they are overall but very reasonable and very quick.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

Midwest muffler in Ankeny. I don't know if he's cheap but he won't screw you over and will do a quality job.

Grimes tire and auto, may not be the correct name but. Just used them for some work, was impressed. Plus you can walk ( close ) to a couple of places to eat or have a drink while waiting. PM if interested.

These people do good work and are honest to customers but how they treat their workers is a different story. Had a buddy that worked there that was diabetic and once it was time for him to get benefits they fired him because it would raise their premiums. My GF has had work done there(that I didnt wanna do lol) and the job was done quickly and professionally.
Honestly, you could easily find someone that will do it for a lot cheaper then a shop especially if you have a friend that can do them. Got 1 honest small shop that will treat you fair but they are out of your way most likely. 1 in Perry called Durbin Auto Body and Frame(they do it all though).

Wheelock's Auto Service does just about everything auto service related; they do good work and their prices are quite reasonable. Cheers!
