If it isn't a Delorean, then it isn't a good flying car.

He said it gets 25-30 mpg and can go in excess of 95 mph on the road. It only goes about 40 mph in the air. It's kind of neat.

He also said his primary market is the humanitarian mission. He wants to sell it to people who live in remote areas and have no access to medical care. It can also be used on water if you add pontoons. He envisions it being used for border patrols, checking oil pipelines for leaks in the ocean to track oil spills and, of course, for frustrated motorists caught in traffic jams.

The inventor's dad was Nate Saint, who was killed, along with four other missionaries in the 1950s in the Ecuadoran jungle by a tribe of natives. It's a pretty famous incident. Look up Nate Saint on Wikipedia.

    Re: Flying car

We've had flying cars for about 100 years now.

    They're called 'Airplanes'.

When airplanes can drive on the highway, then you can call them flying cars.

    Re: Flying car

This is a super cool car and I would own one in a second if I could but until a car is developed that can lift off the ground like a helicopter and move forward like a plane, I don't think it will be very practical.
