    Where do you stand?

Ok. There have been a few threads NBA related with haters coming in so I want to get an idea for where the majority of CF stands. I'm posting a poll with 4 options: like nba, hate nba, watch it come playoff time, or don't care.

Went with "don't care". I find it mildly interesting when an ISU player has a prominent role (Tinsley/Hornacek), but beyond that, it lacks the passion that college basketball has.

I only watch during the finals, even then probably not the whole game and only as a last result. NBA doesn't interest me.

I'm there. It's odd how much I love college ball, but have practically no interest in the pro game. It doesn't help having the T-Wolves as the local example...

I'm all in for the nba. I'm with you in that having an former ISU player in the league would make more here on CF have more on an interest and with FH as coach the number of cyclones in the association will increase. Hated to cheer against Hornacek with the Jazz, but when you play my Bulls you are the enemy.

    Re: Where do you stand?

I'd much rather watch the NHL than the NBA. But I give the NBA all kinds of credit - they have their games broadcast on ESPN, TNT, and ABC. The NHL has their games broadcast on VS. and NBC. Advantage NBA's commissioner and marketing departments...

I'm pretty much in the same boat.

My disinterest in the NBA has been cumulative and gradual, for various reasons.

One thing that affects it the most: I don't have enough time to extensively consume sports anymore, so I limit it mostly to ISU football & bball, so by extension, college FB/BB.

I could probably get into the NBA playoffs, but it takes sooooo long. Heck, as much as I like March Madness, even the NCAA tournament is just about long enough.

I follow NFL, but the regular season is too long (god forbid it goes to 18 games) ... playoff format is fine, but the two-week layoff between conf. championship and Super Bowl annoys me.

Conversely, even though I don't pay much attention to MLB, I do like the playoffs.

    Re: Where do you stand?

My feelings on the NBA and NHL are the same. Great to watch in person and during the playoffs, but I don't care about the regular season. With how easy it is in both leagues to get into the playoffs the regular season just doesn't matter much. Also being a Wild and T-Wolves fan hasn't been great lately.

The only basketball I watch is NBA playoff's and March madness. March madness is more exciting, NBA playoffs are better played.

    Re: Where do you stand?

Overall, I enjoy the NBA. However, there's such a noticeable jump in intensity and quality of play from the regular season to the postseason that it's hard to take what goes on in the regular season all that seriously. Well, that and the fact that unless you have the League Pass or whatever it's called you're just going to get a steady dose of the same half dozen or so teams for six solid months.

I fall into a different category. "Likes it all the time but only watch during the playoffs."

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

    Go Celtics!

Yeah, the NBA is alright if it's on. Really like it during the playoffs.

    Re: Where do you stand?

Somewhere in the middle. Its ok as a diversion once in a while during the season but playoffs are definitely better. When isnt that the case though?

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.

I'm really going to enjoy the Heat-Celtics series. I love watching both teams play for different reasons. I think the Celtics play the perfect brand of basketball when Rondo has his head right. Ray Allen is amazing.

On the other hand, when LeBron and Wade get on a roll, they're hard to beat.

Celts vs. Heat is going to be a great series. The fact that they hate each other just makes it that much better, I can't wait.
