Question Audio on Live Video Webcast??

Does anyone know if there will be "play by play" with the Live video Webcast of the KSU football game tonight at Cylcones.com?
I am out of state and do not have radio access. Will I have to sign up and pay for Yahoo audio in addition to to the premium Webcast of the Kent State game?

Re: Audio on Live Video Webcast??

I watched some of the volleyball game on Tuesday night to make sure everything was working. The only problem I had was the audio level was low. I was using my laptop, so no external speaker amplification. I think it will be ok on the desktop with some extra boost.

Of course I had to try feeding the video to the HDTV just to see what it looked like. The results were as bad as I expected! But I'll be happy to be able to see the game live.

Anybody else having trouble concentrating at work today??

The fact we have a football game tonite is pretty much the only reason why I survived my POSH/POSA training (prevention of sexual harassment/assault) this afternoon. About the only thing that training is good for is learning new techniques... er - not that I harass/assault anyone at work

I am a little scared about watching the game on clone zone with so many others doing the same. Will Cyclones.com be able to hadle the traffic? Will my DSL provide enough bandwidth? I'm scared

I was also concerned about that. I have a cable modem but I was concerned about the CloneZone server keeping up with demand. (If that makes sense.) So I decided to go with Yahoo!'s radio broadcast. Between that and Gametracker and the CF game thread that will pop up, I should be good to go.

It is only a 256 kbps video feed on CloneZone. This really doesn't require that much bandwidth.

Re: Audio on Live Video Webcast??

I just got an email from Iowa State Athletics <cy@xosnetwork.com> that includes this message:

    * Tonight's game will be streamed at a 540kbps rate to maximize video quality, so users need to make sure their download speed is greater than this (test my speed). If you are running wireless internet and experience buffering issues (video hiccups, etc.) please consider going to a wired connection.
