    CD player/iPod hookup Help

I have a cord plugged into the aux port in the back of my CD player in my car so I can play music from my smartphone and my Ipod through the headphone jack. However, it doesn't get anywhere near as loud as CDs get and it can be hard to hear on the highway. Anybody have any ideas on what the problem is and how I could fix it? I might pop the face off and get back there to see if it is plugged in all the way, but I'm fairly sure that isn't the problem.

This is probably a stupid question, but did you turn the volume all the way up on your ipod?

I have also done this and sometimes it isn't as loud as a CD. Like you said, check the cord and connection. I worked at Cyclone Stereo and people asked this question all the time.

Yeah, I have an aftermarket radio in my car and it hooks up my iPod directly to a USB cable inside of the radio itself and its far louder than when I hook it up using an AUX cord. Make sure your iPod is all the way turned up but other than that, I don't know what to say.
