UCLA used to do this when John Wooden was coach of the basketball program. Former players would come back and play. I've never seen a football camp though.

I would give anything to be able to put the pads on just one more time.

Not if that "game" was ran like that. That looked like a 50 year old Special Olympic football game. I wouldn't mind doing one ran by the Alumni Football USA. Alumni Football USA - Get Back in the Game! Competitive games and cheap prices. I think I read somewhere that Denison, Heelan, and Harlan have scheduled games that are taking place this summer I believe.

The Reds do a fantasy camp every summer that I want to do some day. I think the minimum age is 30 or 35.

My mom and I were planning on sending my dad to the fantasy camp the Minnesota Twins hold until we found out it costs a couple thousand dollars.

Edit: $4,095 to be exact for first time campers.

Lighten up man. It's about having fun and getting to experience things like the players do. And of course helping to fund the football program. I think it would be a blast, though at 30 I don't feel a need to "prove myself" on a football field again as an athlete.

You can spend a lot of time and money picking out the perfect floral bouquet for your date ... but you're probably better off checking if you have bad breath and taking the porn out of the glove compartment.

The moral: you gain more by not being stupid, than you do by being smart. Smart gets neutralized by other smart people. Stupid does not.

    Re: Clemson Fantasy camp

The Gridiron Club proposed doing one last year for between $550 (member price) and $700 (non-member) for a two day event. Registration didn't really take off and it was postponed. If there is interest in this, the coaches and CGC are willing to put one together and make it an nice experience.

    Go Cyclones!

BTW the Clemson camp costs $2000 for comparison.

I bet if CW made a push through this site and on KXNO there would be a decent number of guys interested. It's out of my pricerange but I'd love to hear stories.
