    Debut???

How many here where at Walden and McCarney's debut games? I was, but this is the most exciting I think!

I was at Macs, but not Waldens. No one was this excited about Macs because after walden and criner, a drunk monkey could have done a better job.

    Re: Debut???

I was at McCarney's opener vs Ohio. I think I was more nervous about my first Varsity start the following night.

    Re: Debut???

was at McCarney's.... I still remember when the PA announcer informed the crowd how many yards Troy had run for and it was still in the 4th quarter... a big "OHHHH!!" was let out in unison by the crowd.... of course the pandamonium from JTS to Lake LaVerne was pretty fun too....

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Wasn't at either...back in that day I was an evil Hawk fan.

I was, however, at G-Mac's opener and both of their welcoming parties. :)

Will the students rush the field for Chiz like they did for mac's first game? But hey, look how far we have come, our off years we only win 4 games instead of 0 like under walden.

    Ohh god, that is sad.

I do thank Mac for getting this program to the point where we don't rush the field after beating...well...any team.

Rush the field for beating Kent State? Good for our coaching staff when we win, but no way in hell I'm storming the field.

Yeah that is my point, I am happy that this would not be the case.

I would storm the field from 700 miles away if we beat Texas

Ok, that explains everything. I now see why you have to post so much on CF. Kinda like trying to purge your sins.

Some people have called Mac the clapping monkey. Who knows if he liked to drink.

    Hmm....

I tell you what though, rushing the field after beating Baylor for our ONLY win of 1997 was awesome! Being a freshman it solidified my cyclone fandom forever. Walking the goal post to the lake was one of my fondest memories.

Yeah, my freshman year too... That was great. We were probably standing right next to each other and didn't even know it...

    Re: Debut???

Walden's debut was at the Superdome against Tulane if I remember correctly. I watched it as a kid at a viewing party at some hotel, they got the game on satellite. Those were the days before Directv, etc. ISU lost.
