    Where's the Hype? follow up...

If my memory serves me correct, some dude from Knebraska was commenting last week on the lack of "hype" in the Iowa media about the upcoming football season in the state of Iowa, particularly regarding ISU and the new coaching regime etc.. a lot of good comments were made, but I'm just writing to see how the coverage has been over the last week or so and today (in the papers, radio, tv, etc..), considering of course ISU is playing as well as our D-IAA neighbor in Cedar Falls. If you look in the CR Gazette (at least online for me) there are 5 Iowa/Big Ten related articles today alone, and one article on tonight's ISU game. I expect that in the CR fishwrap because they are bigtime hawkeye homers, but no doubt it seems to me the "hype" and coverage for football is truly there....

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

so garn91, is the hype approaching your expectations? are you a cyclone fan or just post on here b/c you follow college football? I remember how my co-workers while living in western Neb. couldn't comprehend why I would not convert to a husker fan, yet nebraskans living in other states seemingly have no problem pimping their allegiance to kNU.

I post and/or lurk on alot of Big 12 message boards. FWIW, I grew up in extreme SW Iowa, being a Husker fan was all I knew as the majority of my family are Husker fans.
