is there any possible way we get darboh?

just curious if anybody knows anything on him. perhaps he likes the clones or has family ties?

just a shame to let these iowa WRs slip away like christian french and adrian arrington. i guess i don't blame them entirely though. if i had an offer from oregon i'd probably go there too.

just curious if we have a realistic shot or not.

Of course there is a possible way. If he decides tyo go to iowa State, and play for CPR. Simple as that.

I would think the chances are very good - CPR has recruited him very hard.

Possible? Sure. Realistic? Not in the slightest.

I don't think he's going to ever play college football in this State unless Notre Dame joins the Big 12.

Didn't he go on a junior day to ISU with Barkley Hill and Luke Knott? Those connections could help.

I'm not a recruiting honk, but my Hawk fan co-worker is, and he said Notre Dame was Darboh's leader, and he wasn't all that optimistic about him coming to Iowa City.

If he doesn't go to Notre Dame, I like our chances.

This. I am also a Hawk fan and would call our chances of landing him very, very slim. I would be surprised if he goes anywhere other than Notre Dame.

I don't think Iowa has a chance. I get the feeling he would rather go to Nebraska than Iowa. I'd say his top is Notre Dame with Iowa State and Nebraska trailing. I know Notre Dame is a power/historic, but that place is old and pretty crappy.

Notre Dame does indeed seem to be the leader at this point, but that's not to say that ISU, nor Iowa, haven't been putting in some major time with him.

The one thing he's brought up that gives Iowa State fans hope is the spread offense. However, with his build, the kid could play in any offense and be successful.

Brian Kelly runs a variation of the spread.

I thought his future was supposed to be DE and not WR.
