Getting Henton probably wouldn't help either.

Re: Looks like landing Okoro just got a little tougher

I'm not ready to stick a fork in this one yet. Hopefully Freddy can SELL!!!!

So far, recruiting seems to be the least of our worries. Freddy will get good players here, one way or another. The question remains though, can he coach a good team? Can he get them to come together as a cohesive unit? We will see next year and the following.

Recruiting of HS athletes will become much more realistic if Freddy can get us to the dance next year and puts some players into the NBA. Selling his NBA ties will only last for so long if he can't actually produce NBA players and put a winning product on the court.

I happen to believe he can.

Wasn't he pretty much quoted as saying he wanted to go to Pitt?

Yup. hopefully our coaches don't fold up tents as fast as fans. Maybe Abdelmassih can work his NY magic.

If not Okoro, we are in on other talented players at similar size/ position as Okoro. It will sting for a day, but it won't be the end of the world.

50/50 between us and Pitt. Remember Pitt is a boring team, and also remember Okoro really likes us.

Yeah, we could be losing out on recruits like Iowa is right now.

Okoro picks up Pitt offer - NYPOST.com

    New Article up about Kerwin.

"We embrace that challenge and what it presents to us. Im going to approach all 12 games this way: Were going to win them all. If we prepare and then go out and execute, were going to win all 12. Now how many are we going to end up with at the end of the year? I dont know, and youre right, I wont put a number on it."- Paul Rhoads on having the toughest schedule in the Big 12

I don't like the quote from his coach that Pitt would be the best fit for him. I just don't. However, Okoro is quoted as saying that Iowa State was his favorite. So hopefully we still stay there.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I know he probobly is the top prospect Fred is

after for 2012, but i seriously doubt the future of the program would be permanently destroyed if he doesn't come here.
