Sounds like we have a decent shot at getting him.

Would be awesome to have this proven, 5th year senior to match-up with the atheltic bigs in the conference.

Hopefully SDSU and U of O fill their spots.

Not a long article, but he seems well spoken and is clearly thinking thru his options. Just hope at the end of the day he picks us.

Well spoke, how can you tell? It's an on-line recollection of what he said. When was the last time you noticed someone stutter or sound very dumb during an interview? Hell, I would read an article and quotes from Wayne Morgan and it would sound like he was Einstein.

If he is waiting to decide until the end of May, there may not be a spot for him at ISU if a new assistant brings in another quality recruit with him. For example, Cornell Mann and Percy Gibson.

All the better for us. Not saying it would happen but if we get Gibson and Ashaolu wants to as well it's possible a spot could open.

One way or another this team is going to need a true Center. Either Railey grows into it or we recruit one after a solid season. How good would Gibson in 2011 and Okoro, Niang and a quality big man look in 2012 to go along with Clyburn.

I think he has a better shot in the NBA if he has a productive year in a quality conference, plays in an NBA system, and plays for someone well respected in the NBA. To bad none of the top 3 schools have that.

Is a True Center a Luxury?

Even among elite teams, very few have a true center. Most utilize two power forwards. I would be entirely comfortable with White, Godfrey & Booker next year. If Railey can stay on the team & continue to develop that would awesome. I liked Railey's game- I just think he's another year from being a guy who can provide 20+ mpg.

I would love to have a Cato type shot blocker on our team- it would provide a dimension many teams don't have.

Problem is we have 2 conference teams that have 5star Centers recruited. The last thing I want to see is RW eating fouls inside.

We just need to clone Calvin, to guard the Perry Jones type 5 star big guys that will come along over the next few years.

Like Isaiah Austin and Quincy Miller? Almost all the 5 star posts are headed to Baylor, so I would expect them to be underwhelming under the expert tutelage of the babysitter Drew.

I think the other one is heading to Texas.
