Isn't this old? I can't recall for sure, but thought we heard about it in the spring/summer.

    Re: Toledo being investigated

Long article, so I didn't read the whole thing, don't have quite the time. But I did read the first few parts of it.

Brought up a interesting point about effecting the integrity of college sports, I hope that doesn't happen with this.

This is old. M&M discussed it earlier this year as well.

What ever happened to truth, justice and the American Way?

This is how it went down...(I know you'll appreciate this darts)

Toledo coach, late in the game (regulation) sends a carrier over to D-Mac with a note...

"Look, we can't win this game, so throw it to Blythe and we're not even gonna try that hard".

D-Mac looks over to the other side, cocks his head in curiosity. Claps a few times and thinks "nice try you jokers!". Runs the ball, draw plays on 3rd and long ensue.

At the onset of the first overtime, another note is sent to D-Mac from the Rocket sideline...

"Coach, seriously, throw the ball to Blythe. We're not going to stop you!!!"

D-Mac thinks, 'They're doing a tremendous, tremendous job of trying to fool me - but it won't work! Plus, Blythe is our secret weapon, why would we use him"?

D-Mac removes Blythe from the game in the first OT, making sure he doesn't fall into Toledo's trap.

ISU is about to start their offensive series in the 2nd overtime. The Rocket coach sends a note to the ISU sideline, this time for Meyer.

"Look, I've been trying to tell you coach, but he just won't listen. See, we've got some cash on this game and we can't win it. Just throw the ball to Blythe and we'll look the other way. Really. Ignore that guy clapping, ok? You'll ge the win and he'll look good. Ok, not good, but he won't look bad. Ok, he'll look bad, but not extra, extra, super horrible. Cool?"

Meyer thinks 'Finally, a coach that wants me to throw the ball to Todd!'

Two passes, two toward Blythe, two for touchdowns.

    The end.

    Re: Toledo being investigated

Was making Blythe our "extra secret weapon" for that game what put McCarney on "double secret probation?"

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

Just because I'm dense as a sack of bricks this morning: was that really what allegedly happened, or is 22 just writing a nice bit of sunrise prose?

    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

The sad thing is, it might as well be true, as far as DMac's gameday execution went.
