    Interesting note

    3. ISU QUARTERBACK BRET MEYER

makes his 37th start in this week’s
game. Meyer is second among NCAA
    signal-callers in total offense (7,979
yards) and his 1,446 career offensive
plays make him by far the busiest collegiate
football player of the last four
    years (second/Colt Brennan, Hawaii
1,259). Despite this and being sacked
105 times he has never missed a game
    because of injury.

    Almost 1500 career plays. Unreal.

    Re: Interesting note

Hoping Bret improves on last year's letdown because the kid has some talent and really thought after his sophomore year he'd be getting talked about a lot more than he is right now.

Watched bits of the replay of the Houston Bowl last night. Even back then that O-Line was not good and also Meyer held onto it too long for some negative plays like we saw too many times last year. Too many times we were 2nd and 20 or 21 in that game after the protection broke down and Meyer could have got rid of it most of those times and avoided the loss in yardage. Glad this is something Chizik has made known we will not tolerate plays like that. Was a little frustrating at times just to watch it last night even and I was even in attendance there when it happened and was frustrated back then too!

Also, too bad Berryman had to be an idiot because he was unreal in that game!

    Re: Interesting note

I bet that the average yards per play for Brett is pretty darn low. The A&M game 2 years ago was the last time I remember ISU really gouging another team for big yards.

Got to give the guy a lot of credit for being tough.

He was going up against Herb Taylor that game the whole year Taylor only gave up one sack Berryman had five in that game.

I also really hope that Meyer has a good year this year. ISU was really close to taking that game over until Meyer fumbled that ball when no on touched him then TCU came back with a 84 yard TD pass.

Ya BUT Jon Miller would rather have Jake Christensen for a QB then Meyer as he said on his show Monday. That is when homerism becomes stupidity.

    By The Associated Press

LINCOLN — Police report that a 21-year-old woman was apparently hit in the head with a chocolate milkshake thrown from a passing vehicle with Husker emblem on the side.
The woman says she was walking with a man shortly before 1 a.m. Monday near the downtown area in Lincoln when the assault occurred.
She told officers she was hit in the left side of the face by a milkshake that was thrown from an SUV. The woman and the man described the SUV as red with dark windows.
