    Hamilton's injury and complaints

Texas Rangers' Josh Hamilton still calls injury play 'dumb' - ESPN Dallas

So after making a gustsy play and trying to tag up on an infield pop up, Josh Hamilton breaks a bone in his arm, putting him out for at least six weeks. In his interview after the game he blames the third base coach, calling it a "dumb" decision.

What a baby. Seriously, baseball is a sport, and in sports injuries happen. Heaven forbid you actually put forth more than a minimal effort in order to give your team an advantage. Plus its his own fault for actually listening to the coach( he has the final decision to go or not), and its his fault for sliding wrong. Take some responsibility. This kind of thing makes me angry. Thoughts??

Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

I don't like seeing him throw his 3rd base coach under the bus like that. You've got to know not to go head first at home....that's on him.

As they discussed on the Dan Patrick show this morning, the Rangers have to be concerned about this. The root of Hamilton's addictions was a car accident that left him with time on his hands and easy access to pain killers. They're going to need to monitor him VERY closely through his rehab.
