    Loney get some props

Just thought some of you might want to see this.

I always liked Loney, he always seems to get the most out of the players when he was the OC/O-Line coach. Well at least his O-lines did not look like ours did last year.

Loney is a class act! He had a lot to do with Iowa State's successful running backs. When Chizik says we currently have the best offensive line coach in the country, I think maybe second, not first. I wouldn't take any offensive line coach or coordinator over Loney.

    Re: Loney get some props

It was nice when we used to be able to run against other teams. We'll see how Drake does on Thursday against Ill St. That and the UNI game will be tough. I'm going to go to a few Drake games this year when ISU isn't playing at home. They are only $5/piece.

I've never been to a Drake game. Is their tailgating?

Anyone else notice that in the comments, that the Des Moines Red Star mis-spelled Earle Bruce's name?

Frickin' incompetent sophomoric socialist corrupt idiots....

I have to agree. When he was with the Vikings and coaching the O-Line, Daunte used to have forever to throw the ball and I think they were near the top in offense. Same with Troy Davis, if he would of had our line from the last few years he wouldn't of came close to breaking records.

Man I hope our OL is a lot better this year. It's so important.

    Re: Loney get some props

For Drake's sake I hope Loney loves the job so much he decides to stay despite the 1 year commitment he's made. He's basically doing it because the Arizona Cardinals are paying him for this season so he can afford to "sit out" a year for a better job. He's probably too high profile for a job like Drake and will get a better offer as a coordinator somewhere but Drake is very fortunate to be able to pick his brain for 1 year.
