    basketball fun again

I don't know what next seasons men's basketball will bring, but the speculation is fun and not just for Cyclone fans

Iowa State Cyclones 2010-11 Season Recap - Big 12 Hoops

    2011-2012 Outlook:
This is where things get really exciting not just Cyclone fans but for most every basketball fan. Fred Hoiberg has something akin to a science experiment going on in Ames next season as he tries to incorporate four D1 transfers; Chris Allen from Michigan State, Anthony Booker from Southern Illinois, Chris Babb from Penn State & Royce White from Minnesota. It will be extremely interesting to watch how those players can gel with returnees Godfrey, Ejim, Railey and senior SG Scott Christopherson. No doubt the Cyclones will definitely be more talented than the team they put out on the court this year but no one knows how the team chemistry will be. So next year could either be a re-emergence of the Iowa State program or a possible train wreck waiting to happen, either way people will tune in and pay attention to the Cyclones again.

Isn't it supposed to be " mad again" ?

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Oh no, Hoiberg is now recruiting Hubbard? Not sure he is worth it, but at east this means Fran will have to go to Plan F now.

I was kidding too. We all know Fred would never stoop as low as Fran apparently does just to get a recruit.

They're both backed into corners. They don't have a lot of choice. But don't pretend that either side has the ability to play the morality card at this point.

No pretending is needed- only one of the coaches is desperately trying to get the services of a convicted felon.

While the other is taking chances on guys like White and Lucious. Like I said, neither side can seriously play the morality card.

I tend to agree that the morality card between Iowa and ISU is not a good one. If you're talking about using it versus an SEC team on the other hand, that is a different matter.

Agreed, I only meant that in reference to between Iowa and ISU.

    Re: basketball fun again

The supposed morality issue of bringing in a couple of transfers that had been removed from their teams is just a jealousy mechanism deployed by the Iowa faithful. They see talent coming to Ames, while backup plan recruits from Iowa's backyard aren't even willing to commit to the program in IC. I'd be annoyed too.
