    Portsmouth Invitational- Day 1

They talk about Garrett very briefly, but they seem to like him. Here is the link.

No one can get into the lane like DG. As they mentioned, his build will be the main issue. But if your defender is busy reassembling his ankles at the top of the key, does it matter how big of muscles he had?

Good to hear he's doing well and the brief description is right on the money. Thanks for the update!

lucky for DG notorious ballhog jeremy hazell is injured and didn't show up. figured he might ruin DG's chance to play well.

DG being a point guard is a huge advantage for him. At these camps, it's hard for some guys, especially posts to get enough touches as everyone has an 'I gotta get mine' attitude as they want to show off for the scouts. But as a point DG doesn't have to rely on others to get him the ball, he can control where it goes.

This might seem like a stupid question, sense I went to there home page and said admission to the game was 10 Buks, but is there any media/video for these games? I would love to watch DG play and really all the seniors that the NCAA has to offer.

DG Game 2 - Portsmouth Partnership vs K&D Rounds Landscaping (04/08/11 at Churchland High/Portsmouth, VA)

    4-8 FG, 8 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast, 2 to, 1 stl.

DG Game 3 - PIT 2011 - not up yet

I think DraftExpress does far-and-away the best job of covering prospects, and they have made no mention of him from their Portsmouth coverage yet. DG should be able to make himself a really nice living somewhere in Europe, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. Good luck, DG.

With the prospects that are entering the draft this year I think DG definately still has a shot at getting drafted at the very end of the second round.

Pretty glowing review of Diante. Sounds like he was one of the best of the invite... Good for him!

DG will make an NBA roster. You can take that to the bank.

I'm certainly rooting for him. I never understood why this board hated him so much for his first 3 seasons. But I don't think it's anywhere near a lock.

    Re: Portsmouth Invitational- Day 1

Garrett got some good news as soon as he showed up to be measured. Apparently he's been eating right. Listed by Iowa State at 6-foot-4, he's actually an inch and a half taller. Combine that size with his ability to create shots for others and Garrett becomes an intriguing prospect.
