Mizzou still has a lot of talent coming back, at least until the Pressey brothers leave for Arkansas.

Maybe because Mizzou is good, and VCU sucks?

Obviously we are going to have to earn it, but I really think that we will eventually crack the top 25 this year if not the top 15. Call me crazy but it will happen.

No one in this thread has said we should be ranked.

I'm not surprised we aren't ranked, but I'm surprised Katz didn't mention us. He loves Iowa State.

VCU doesn't have anybody coming back but Shaka, Burgess, and a bunch of poor to mediocre big men.

Yeah, I kind of thought the same. He probably thinks he will get made fun of, which he would.

I would be surprised if we aren't ranked in the final polls.

    Barring a surprise departure, obviously.

I'd say were probably in that 40-50 range.

Honestly, if we're not in the top 25 next year at any point in time, I will be pretty disappointed. Call is unrealistic if you want but with the guys we have coming into the lineup and with how close we were this year, I think it's realistic.

Oh ya, I agree. I'm just saying right now were probably in the 40-50 range. Plenty of season to move into the polls.

Re: Early top 25 for MBB next season

Missouri returns everyone except senior Justin Safford. This team should be an NCAA tournament team again next season and if Haith can't get them there then he will be in some real hot water fast.

We will have six seniors next season and currently don't have anyone signed for the three scholarships available in 2011 or the six in 2012. There is going to be a lot of rebuilding after Haith's first year so if he fails to make the tournament next season it is going to be a long three years for him and Missouri fans.
