Since he is probably a hawkeye troll, I'm impressed he could spell "five", let alone count to two.

5 top beers that are easy to get in any store/bar around the Midwest

    1. Sam Adams Octoberfest
    2. Boulevard Wheat
    3. Blue Moon
    4. Dos Equis Lager
    5. Guinness

Now if we are talking imported beer or beer that can only be found in select regions around the U.S., then my list is completely different.

    Re: Top 5 Beers

I love the OP's style, but alas my list looks quite a bit different.

If we're going with the beers I go out of my for the most frequently these days, you're probably looking at:
    1) Bell's 2 Hearted IPA
    2) Grain Belt
    3) Sierra Nevada Torpedo
    4) Peace Tree Hop Wrangler
    5) Olde Main Sodbuster

My all time favorite beers (which probably changes on a regular basis):
    Surly Wet Hop
    Surly Furious
    Peace Tree Double IPA
Olde Main Double IPA (seasonal this summer)
    New Belgium Mighty Arrow
    Oskar Blues G'Knight
    Omegaang 3 Philosophers
    Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
    Boulder Beer Hazed and Infused
    Boulder Beer Mojo
    Guinness
    Sam Adams Noble Pils
    Odell Easy Street

In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.

    Re: Top 5 Beers

    1. Leinies Summer Shandy (I'm a sucker for this on a hot day)
    2. Bells Oberon
    3. Grain Belt
    4. Goose Island 312
    5. Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Side note: Best, most downable beer I had was at Thunder Canyon Brewery in Tucson, AZ called Orange You Glad. It tasted like Tang and beer. I think I downed six pints of the stuff before my meal came! It was so tasty.

    Yeah TOAST!!!

    Re: Top 5 Beers

    (in no particular order)

Guinness (especially in Black & Tan)
Pilsner Urquell (as long as it hasn't gone skunky, which is hard because it comes in green bottles, but out of the tap, especially in the Czech Republic, it's outstanding)
    Lienenkugel's Honey Weiss
    Boulevard Wheat Ale
    Blue Moon

HM: Budweiser (not the AB variety, the original Budweiser, a.k.a. Budvar, that originates in the Czech Republic)

If you haven't figured it out, I really like the wheat ales.

after that I like a Bud light or Coors Light with my homemade bloody Mary mix
Lienenkugels-the summer one that tastes like lemons
    finally really really cold
