Why do you listen to sports radio?

I can't believe how offended people get by the stuff that is said on sports talk radio out of Des Moines. These guys are controversial and **** people off because if they didn't, nobody would listen to their show. I don't know who giggles, tirell, or deace is but I'm guessing they never played a sport or were picked last on the playground all throughout school. Honest question---what is the appeal to listening to sports radio? These guys have radio shows in one of the poorer sports markets in the Midwest for a reason

part of the great thing about living out of state is being blissfully ignorant about local isu-iowa sports talk.

Re: Why do you listen to sports radio?

Honestly, I listen to KXNO almost everyday and have zero issues with it. I think there are too many people on this board that see the world in Cardinal and Gold beer goggles that are offended by the most simple suggestion that ISU isn't the only thing in the universe that matters. Some people are way too sensitive. The anchors talk about ISU almost every day and still many people complain that all they talk about is the Hawkeyes. Unfortunately you are not really hearing from the people that do listen and do enjoy the local programs (mainly because they have nothing to complain about). I completely agree with what you said. If you don't enjoy listening to the local programs, then don't.

Re: Why do you listen to sports radio?

I don't understand the people that get upset over FREE radio either.

The only reason I listen is to pass the time on my short ride to and from work. So, I generally get 15 minutes of Dan Patrick in the morning, and 15 minutes of the afternoon show on my way home.
