    UConn students fail to show

I thought UConn's student section looked empty compared to the other 3 sections for the Final Four on Saturday...

Turns out they gave free tickets to University of Rice and Houston students to sit in the UConn student section. Nice job outta them

Re: UConn students fail to show

They could have given me free tickets!!! OK so I'm 30 and don't care about either school, but I would not have minded going to the game if it was for free ;)

Re: UConn students fail to show

UConn fans don't travel. That being said I can't blame them for not traveling. If ISU were to make it that far it would kill me not to go but with classes right having projects and tests due it would be very difficult to be able to be gone for several days.

Re: UConn students fail to show

I thought Uconn fans not showing up was why the BCS was terrible and we need a college football playoff? Are you telling me that maybe Uconn is just in a pro sports market and doesn't have the same fanatic following that college sports in the midwest and southest have?

It must also be hard to support a program when your two basketball coaches are the biggest ****** in the world.

Well, at least Calhoun doesn't whine about fans not showing up for games...

The crowd at Reliant last night was heavily in favor of Butler. UConn had its' section, and a few randoms around. Their student section was only half full.

Well... at least Geno hasn't had the NCAA knocking on his door in regard to recruiting violations.

Perhaps they would, if they cared to look. Then again, it's proof that even the NCAA doesn't really give a crap about women's basketball...

The UCONN athletics department is ridiculous. BCS bowl, MBB powerhouse and WBB most dominant program.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”
